NUC approves Gombe State University of Science and Technology - Expomata

The National University Commission has approved the Gombe State University of Science Technology as the 154th University in Nigeria.

 

 

The Executive Secretary of the commission, Prof. Abubakar Rasheed announced the approval of the University recently at the university’s academic brief and master plan in Abuja.

Rasheed said JAMB, TETFund and NYSC have been appropriately informed about the activities of the University adding that the approval takes effect from October 26.

The NUC boss condemned the proliferation of Universities without adequate funding. He, however, expressed concern about the to establish more universities in Nigeria.
