Applicants must have met the following criteria:
  • General eligibility: These awards are open to all students who make an application to the Faculty of Medicine by 24 April 2018 for admission to study for a full-time or part-time Master’s programme (or PG Cert for a course where that is the only route to the higher degree) at Imperial College London, starting in October 2018.
  • Please note that these awards can only be given to students who are studying a programme run by the Faculty of Medicine. For a full list of these programmes, please see our Master’s programmes page. If you are hoping to study a Master’s programme run by another faculty, please see a list of other scholarship programmes which you may be eligible for. It is not essential for applicants to have already received an offer of a place on a programme, but the initial programme application must be made before applying for a scholarship.
  • Residence eligibility: Applications are accepted from talented candidates from across the world for the Dean’s Master’s Scholarships and from the UK and the EU for the Dr. Jean Alero Thomas Scholarships. Please see the Fee assessment guidance notes [pdf] if you are unsure of your ordinary resident status.
  • Academic eligibility: Candidates are expected to be able to provide evidence of outstanding academic ability. This will usually mean being among the highest achievers in their undergraduate cohort, and in receipt of, or due to receive a first class UK Honours degree or equivalent. An applicant who does not meet this requirement (e.g. holds a second class undergraduate degree, is a health professional who did not undertake a degree course, or is from a non-traditional background) will be considered if they are able to demonstrate that they have outstanding academic potential and substantial experience relevant to their chosen subject area.
Language Requirements: Imperial College London considers IELTS scores [6.5 overall (minimum 6.0 in all elements) and 7.0 overall (minimum 6.5 in all elements)] to be valid for 2 years. Scores must be valid at the beginning of their studies at Imperial if their application is successful.

Instruction on Application:

The deadline for Faculty of Medicine Master’s Scholarships 2018/19 applications is Tuesday 24 April 2018. In order to be considered for a scholarship, potential candidates will need to do both of the following:
  • Apply for a place on a Master’s programme run by the Faculty of Medicine
  • Complete the Master’s Scholarships online application form
It is not essential to wait for an offer of a place on a programme to be made before applying, but the initial programme application must be made before submitting the scholarship application. To apply for a Master’s programme, please use our online admissions system.

Applications are invited from exceptional candidates who are prepared to act as ambassadors for the Strathclyde FT MBA.  Who can demonstrate through their ideas how they would contribute to bringing the class together through teamwork to create community, from the outset, in order to achieve the ultimate learning (and social) experience for the group as a whole.
Leadership/management skills or potential, overall quality of the application and financial need will also be considered. The awards will be judged on a 1000 word statement supplied by each candidate that should state which scholarship you wish to be considered for and should clearly articulate how you meet the scholarship criteria.

To apply for admission to the Master’s program in Computer Science, you must have a relevant bachelor’s degree. You can apply for a master’s degree if you have a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from SDU, Aarhus University, University of Copenhagen or Aalborg University.
You can also apply for admission if you have a corresponding bachelor’s degree program that contains computer science subject’s equivalent to minimum 100 ECTS. The following subject areas must be included:
  • Programming (at least 15 ECTS)
  • Algorithms, data structures, and complexity (at least 15 ECTS)
  • Computer systems, including machine architecture and control systems (at least 15 ECTS)
  • Mathematical support for computer science, including discrete mathematics (at least 10 ECTS)
  • Databases (at least 5 ECTS)
Once you have applied, the Board of Studies will assess whether your education is admissible. If you do not meet the above admission requirements, the Board of Studies will assess whether you can follow one or more supplementary courses.

The MasterCard Foundation has partnered with Michigan State University to provide full tuition scholarships to undergraduate and master’s degree students from sub-Saharan Africa.
The mission of The MasterCard Foundation is to advance education and financial inclusion to catalyze prosperity in developing countries.  The Scholars Program is a 10-year, US $500 million initiative that will enable 15,000 academically talented students from economically disadvantaged communities (mostly in sub-Saharan Africa) to attend secondary school and/or university.
Michigan State University (MSU) is a public research university in East Lansing, Michigan, United States. MSU was founded in 1855 and became the nation’s first land-grant institution under the Morrill Act of 1862, serving as a model for future land-grant universities.
Scholarship Description
Course Level: Scholarships are available for pursuing Bachelor and Masters degree programmes at Michigan State University

Eligibility for the Scholarship:
  • Being a citizen of a Sub-Saharan African country

Note: Students who are already enrolled in degree programs in Africa or elsewhere are not eligible for the program.
Eligible Countries: The program is open to residents and citizens of Sub-Saharan African countries.
College Admission Requirement
Entrance Requirement: Graduate: The MasterCard Foundation Scholars Program at Michigan State University for master’s students is open to students who have already completed a bachelor’s degree at an African university and are residents or citizens of an African country. 
Test Requirement: Undergraduate applicants must provide either WAEC/NECO Scratch Card information, official or certified copies of O and A level results, or any National High School Leaving Examination results.
English Language Requirement.
Undergraduate: MSU currently does not waive English language requirements for any country in Africa, even if the primary language of students’ schooling is English. (See MSU’s English language proficiency requirements for more details.) International students must provide English language proficiency examination results to be considered for admission to MSU. Students only need to take one of the following exams to prove English language proficiency: SAT, ACT, IELTS and TOEFL The MasterCard Foundation Scholarship is not available to those who only qualify for provisional admission based on their TOEFL or IELTS scores.
Graduate: Each department has varying requirements for standardized testing. Please check with individual program and department to verify which tests and what scores you need for regular admission into the program.
Scholarship Benefits
The MasterCard scholarship will cover for those accepted to the program.
  • Full tuition fees at the overseas rate;
  • Costs incurred for visa and processing;
  • Costs incurred for English language tests;
  • Economy class air tickets to and from Michigan for awardees who are citizens and residents of a Sub-Saharan country;
  • University self catered accommodation;
  • A food stipend to cover costs of food expenses;
  • A general stipend to cover basic living costs, including an academic allowance towards prescribed textbooks, printing and school supplies.
